WATER METER REPLACEMENT PROJECT
Starting September 2023
The Village of Diamond is pleased to commence with the mandatory Water Meter Replacement Program. The purpose of this project is to replace all water meters serviced by the Village with a more innovative water meter system. To accomplish this project, the Village has contracted United Meters, Inc. (UMI) to complete the installation. Letters will be sent to those residents and businesses requiring a replacement water meter. We ask for those receiving a letter, contact UMI as soon as possible to schedule an appointment. Funding for this project was provided by a low interest loan from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency’s Public Water Supply Loan Program. The $335,692.98 loan amount has an interest rate of 0.93% and will be paid over 20 years. For more information on this project, contact the Village of Diamond Water Department.
