SIGN UP NOW: VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR MEALS ON WHEELS (COMMUNITY NUTRITION NETWORK)
MORRIS, IL, Jan. 31 — Meals on Wheels (Community Nutrition Network and Senior Services Association) is looking for volunteers to help serve and deliver nutritious meals to adults age 60 and above who are in need in our community. We are a donation-based nonprofit. and all meals are approved by a licensed dietitian to meet federal guidelines for daily nutrition needs. No one is ever turned away if unable or unwilling to pay.
Volunteering for Meals on Wheels is a great way to make a huge impact in a short amount of time. By delivering or helping to serve or prepare meals you ensure nutritious food and a friendly visit are delivered to adults age 60 or above in your community. Anyone can help, and it’s a great volunteer opportunity for families and teams of employees, as well. Sign up today and find out how easy and rewarding it is to bring nutrition and independence to your neighbors!
Two volunteers are needed to help pack pre-made meals Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. in Morris (even one day a week would be a huge help).
Two volunteers are needed to help serve meals in Mazon (once a month from 10:30 am to 1 pm), two volunteers are needed for Minooka (once a month from 10:30 am to 3 pm), and two volunteers are needed for Coal City (twice a month from 10:30 am to 1 pm). Volunteers will be guided by a certified food safety associate.
