Information provided by the Grundy County Chamber of Commerce
With the President’s signing of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, $350 billion is being allocated to help small businesses. Although in the form of loans, business owners may not have to repay all or any of the loan if they maintain payrolls during the crisis or restore payrolls afterward.
On the Grundy Chamber website, and if you click here, is a guide and checklist provided by the U.S. Chamber to help our small businesses through the application process.
During a very difficult time for people and industries of all types and sizes, the CARES act is some good news that I encourage you to allow yourself to take some joy, or at least a little relief from over the weekend.
The State of Illinois also is providing some grant and loan programs that are detailed here. Applications for the Hospitality Emergency Grant Program are available now. Information on the other programs is still being released and researched. The Grundy County and Channahon Minooka Chamber will continue to update you as we have more information.
We are grateful to all of our members who have continued to communicate with us on their needs and ideas during this pandemic. Remember, we are here for you whether it’s to help you communicate changes in your business, questions on these programs, or just to listen.
